The Urgent Care Clinic at the Town Centre Surgery offers an alternative to the Emergency department (A&E) for a range of minor injuries and medical problems. It is a service for patients whose condition is urgent enough, that they cannot wait for the next GP appointment but who do not need Emergency treatment at the hospital A&E.

WE TREAT INJURIES AND ILLNESSES LIKE:

• Illnesses in children and adults including fever, infections and rashes
• Burns and scalds
• Breathing problems
• Wounds, bites, cuts, grazes and scalp lacerations(cuts)
• All sprains and strain
• Minor head injury (fully conscious patients who do not experience loss of consciousness or vomit after the head injury)

SERVICES NOT OFFERED AT URGENT CARE CLINIC:

• Repeat prescriptions
• Paperwork of any kind
• Non-urgent referrals
• Routine GP care
• Repeat dressings (please make appointment for Practice nurse)
